Mistah F.A.B. @ Apple Store SF
Yesterday, I had a chance to checkout my good homie Mistah F.A.B. at the Apple Store in downtown San Francisco. When I arrived, the line was around the block. I haven't seen him in a while, but the show was an intimate affair. It was a chance to connect with a lot of folks who were unfamiliar with him or hadn't ever seen him before.
There were a lot of heads in the spot: Stash Magazine, SMC Records, Clear Channel radio excecs, crazy teen fans, and a plethora of local rappers. He ran through a lot of his radio hits and remixes verses.
At one point in the middle of his set, his DJ Tito Bell dropped "If 'If' Was a Fifth" (which I produced). The crazy part was that someone yelled "Trackademicks!" as soon as it dropped! Either that person was unaware if was like five feet away, or intetionally massaged my ego for the day... I kid, I kid...
Later on in the set, FAB spots me in the crowd, and points me out. I saw a few incredulous look thrown my way. This was crazy because it reminded me that hella people may know about you, but have never seen you. He pulls me up to the front and plays one of my productions.
Expect More from us in the near future...

Trackademicks In Serie B Magazine
I took Spanish for four years in high school and was pretty good at it. i should have kept going. Maybe then I could fully understand my article in the the June/August issue # 22 of Spanish urban culture magazine Serie B.
If you happen to be fortunate enough to be anywhere this mag is distributed, get me one. I'll pay you back. No, really, I will. If you're like me and aren't sure where to get it in the states, here's a [low quality] jpeg of the spread.
Don't lose your eyesight trying to read this.

[Re]Cover Art.
"Is that your studio on the cover of the [Re}Mixtape?"
I am asked this quite frequently, in which I reply, "Why, yes, it is!"...
Then I am flooded with a range of questions/comments...
"Nord Lead. I got one too."
"KRKs eh? Got those too."
"IMac. Couldn't afford a Mac Pro?"
"An Mbox?!?! Is that it?"
And while I don't respond to all of them, here's the answer to one question i really don't mind answering:
Q: "Nice Cover Art. Who did it?"
A: She Did.

NBA Finals x TRACKADEMICKS???
Ok Folks. You're just gonna have to take my word for it, seeing as there is no sound in this video.
So I get an email from my "DJ friend" saying that his "artist manager friend" was at the Staples Center for the NBA Finals match up between Celtics/Lakers last night and that during halftime they played a certain E-40 Remix (you'll wanna click this...) produced by yours truly for the Celtics girls to shake to...
Although I didn't actually get audio confirmation yet, I thought someone might be excited besides me...
Holler!!!

RMXTP2 Liner Notes: "Goodbye Girl" pt. 2
1 O.A.K. "Goodbye Girl"
I was recording in perfect timing with a relationship I was ending. I imagined singing the lyrics this girl that I was very simply not trying to hold on to anymore. This is the first of the remakes that sparked an idea between Tracks and myself to do whole remake album. From Go West, to Confunkshun, to the cure, to the SMITHS. Yeah its goin down. Also this was the song that pretty much started my singing career. Before this song, I wasn't completely interested in the "singer" persona. My hope is to do my own thing without all the bootsy R&B stigmas. I worked the harmonies with my god sister, Hidden Beach recording artist Sunny Hawkins. THANX SIS!
