Is the Bus Still Running?
So I spoke to Mistah F.A.B. today, who's currently in the studio with DJ Toomp, Jazzy Pha and Grand Hustle. Whether you love him or hate him, he is probably one of the hardest workin' dudes in this . From doing tracks with everyone from Snoop to Groove Armada, FAB has been the poster boy of the Hyphy Movement over the last few years. We talked about a lot of things, including the music that we are working on together, but I didn't get the chance to ask him about an article released last week in the SF Weekly entitled "The Demise of Hyphy", in which he was mentioned.

The Demise of Hyphy
Over the past several months here in the Bay, there has been a noticeable void in the visibility of the local turf rap scene. With the close of @17th, the last club in Oakland in Oakland to have the support of KMEL, there are virtually no spots in the 'Town where local music reigns supreme...
My personal opinion about this whole "demise" thing is that there is no one factor to blame.
No support from the radio?
Yes.
Not enough label support for bay artists (besides, 40, $hort, and Keyshia) signed to majors?
Yes.
Not enough bay artists with quality control as a active ingredient in the recipe for makin' Gouda?
Hell Yes.
With that said... Here's how I've tried to help...
